"Klindovit": instructions for use

Clindovit is produced in the form of a 1% gel for external use. 100 g of the drug contains 1 g of clindamycin phosphate, sodium hydroxide, carbomer copolymer, propylene glycol, tocopherol phosphate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, allantoin, disodium lauryminodipropionate, macrogol-400 and purified water. Clindamycin Phosphate is an antibiotic from the group of lincosamides. It is active against the microorganisms Propionibacterium acnes.
After application to the skin, the active substance is hydrolyzed by phosphatases in the ducts of the sebaceous glands and forms clindamycin, which has antibacterial activity. When using the drug, the percentage of free fatty acids on the skin surface is reduced from 14% to 2%, and clindamycin accumulates in comedones, where it has a healing effect. Analogues of the drug on the active substance are "Zerkalin", "Dalatsin". Analogs on the mechanism of action: "Zener", "Erythromycin", "Indoxil".
Use Clindovit Gel with acne. Apply it on clean, dry skin with a thin layer 2-3 times a day.The duration of treatment is 6-8 weeks. If necessary, the therapeutic course can be extended to 6 months. When applying, avoid contact of the gel with the mouth, eyes, and after applying the drug, wash your hands thoroughly.
"Clindovit" is contraindicated in case of revealed increased sensitivity to lincomycin and clindamycin, ulcerative and pseudomembranous colitis, Crohn's disease. Use the drug with caution during treatment with muscle relaxants, as well as in children under 12 years of age, patients with various types of allergies. It is possible to use the drug during pregnancy, only if the benefit of treatment for the mother is higher than the potential risk to the fetus. If necessary, the use of Clindovita during lactation is recommended to stop breastfeeding.
Gel "Clindovit" can cause irritation, burning, itching, contact dermatitis, increased sebum secretion, dry skin, peeling, erythema at places of application. You can not combine the use of "Clindovita" and "Erythromycin", since these drugs are antagonists. The gel can disrupt the neuromuscular transmission in the body, thereby enhancing the effect of muscle relaxant drugs.Store Clindovit in a dark, dry place out of the reach of children, at a temperature of 15-25oC. Shelf life funds - 2 years.
