Different cleaning methods for burnt pans

But, even among the most advanced housewives, sometimes it happens that the dishes lose their former beauty - plaque and stains from long-term exploitation appear, and sometimes it’s enough to be distracted for a minute, like a saucepan burns along with all the contents.

As a result, a foul and dirt appears on the surface of the material, which can not be cleaned with ordinary water, detergent and even a hard sponge. What to do in this case? Do not throw away your favorite pot because of such an unpleasant incident?

Of course not! For her beauty and even, one might say, life, you can still fight, for this there are many proven ways! How to clean a burnt pot from burning and soot? First you need to try to figure out what material it is made of, since different types of metal will react differently to cleaning products, especially those prepared at home.

For example, citric or acetic acid is harmful to enamelware, and salt to stainless steel lately.

Salt

One of the proven and effective ways to get rid of strong burning. Ideal for aluminum and enamelware, which cannot be said about stainless steel - in this case, it is better not to use it, because salt can provoke metal corrosion. Fill the pot with cold water, leave for half an hour, pour out and pour the salt. Its layer should completely cover the burnt surface.

We leave in this form a saucepan for three hours, after which we scrape the carbon with a stiff brush. There is another way to clean strongly burned dishes: fill it with strong warm saline solution, set on fire and boil for an hour on low fire. After giving the pot a little cool and rinse with a sponge.

Soda

It is recommended for use for cleaning enamelware and stainless steel, but aluminum pans can darken as a result of using soda. If the pollution is not too strong, then it is enough to use soda instead of dishwashing detergent: put it on a hard sponge and rub the bottom and walls of the dish thoroughly.

If the pollution is more serious, then it can be poured hot water with a tablespoon of soda. Give the pot to stand for 50 minutes, then send to the stove and boil for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool. After the soda-water tank has cooled, the residue will quickly be washed off in the usual way.

Vinegar

As we have said, acetic acid can not be used to clean enamelware, but for stainless steel or aluminum dishes - easily. So, the process itself: pour the pot with water, add a half cup of vinegar and half of the soap, previously grated, to it. We put it on the fire and let it boil for 30 minutes, then my usual way.

Lemon acid

Another old folk remedy that allows you to get rid of not only the burned remnants of food, but from lime deposits. As in the case of vinegar, it is not suitable for cleaning enamelled surfaces, while for other types this method is absolutely safe.

The simplest option is to apply citric acid on a sponge and thoroughly wipe the dirty dishes with it, then rinse with water and rub dry.

If this option does not help and the pan is too dirty, you need to boil water directly in it (pour just enough to cover the burned area) and add a couple of tablespoons of citric acid there, then bring the resulting solution to a boil and boil for 15 -ty minutes After the burnt bottom will remain washed in the usual way.

Activated carbon

A universal method that is suitable for any kind of saucepans, by the way, is especially effective in cases of sticking milk. What you need to do: take 2-3 tablets of coal, crush them to a state of powder, then use it to pour the burned bottom of the pan (it is better that it is wet). Next, let the pot stand in this form for 40 minutes, then add cold water, again give stand for half an hour. Now your saucepan is easy to clean with plain water and a sponge.

Laundry soap

Laundry soap is the good old proven way that our grandmothers readily used. With a weak burning, it is enough to fill the saucepan with soapy water and boil it in this form for 30 minutes.After cooling, the surface is cleaned with a detergent and a sponge.

If the soot is too strong, for example, as from jam, do not rush to throw your favorite pot, there is another effective method. The proportions are as follows: for 4 liters of boiling water, add a tablespoon of PVA glue and 1/3 of a piece of laundry soap, previously grated. Boil the mixture for half an hour, and you will be surprised how easily the layers of soot and the most complex fat begin to move away from the surface of the pan.

Coffee grounds

This cleaning and scaling recipe is only suitable for stainless steel cookware. Here the coffee grounds are used: we lay it on a sponge instead of a tool and thoroughly clean the contaminated surfaces. After that, the dishes must be washed in clean water and wipe dry.

Of course, if you do not want to suffer for a long time, boil water and chemically mix with folk remedies, you can use special household chemicals designed to clean up stubborn fat and remove carbon deposits.
