Pattern Description

Knitting description

Knit bottom.

We first knit the legs, separately the right and left. For each leg, gain an equal number of loops 1/4 of the volume of the hips + 11 loops (gusset). First row knit “lush”. If the thread is thin or elastic, we need this row (or two) to be weighed down: we knit it in two threads or then we tie it in a finished product with a half-column.

11 loops on each leg - this is a one-piece crotch. Subsequently, we combine the two legs in one canvas, these loops will go away.

For example, your rapport pattern = 12 loops. For the right leg, you need to finish the last (necessary whole) rapport + 11 loops according to the pattern, and for the left leg you need to start with 11 loops, then the first whole rapport.

We knit in a straight line about 11 cm. Then we reduce 3 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 loops in each row. When both parts are ready, we connect them to one needle. If everything is done correctly, then the picture is the same for rapports. Next "Before" in the middle will be intact. The side seam is vertical.

We begin to form a bevel under the pocket (from the middle of the length along the side seam). For bevels, uniformly decrease the number of loops = 2 cm on each side. We finish knitting with an auxiliary thread.

Back (rear):

We first knit the legs, separately the right and left. For each leg we collect the number of loops equal to 1/4 of the volume of the hips + 18 loops (gusset). Everything is in front. Gaps for forming a crotch: 5 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1.

Pocket: add on each side a set of loops of about 5 cm. Then we knit along a straight line up to a height equal to the length of the lateral suture.

The side seam is vertical. Further, it all depends on the features of the figure: with a flat booty we end up knitting with an auxiliary thread; with the forms we continue knitting, tying several rows in shorter rows to raise the middle, so that the shorts will sit on the pope.

Finish knitting with an auxiliary thread. We return to the pocket and deepen it. We return the loops to the knitting needle, which we gathered with an additional set and knit down (relative to the main web) about 2 cm.This is the lining of the pocket. If the yarn is thick, it is better to make it with thin threads to match. Figure knit stocking or garter stitch.

The second part of the lining of the pocket: we collect on the spokes the same thread that was used to add the pocket. The number of loops is equal to what was collected to form a pocket on the back (= 5 cm). We knit first 2 cm in a straight line. Then, on one side, subtract, as well as subtract on the front side seam. In height = 1/2 the length of the shorts, i.e. must match the front if applied with a beveled edge.

Pocket Processing:

We collect loops on the knitting needle along the beveled edge of the front and knit some knitted stockings. The wrong side of knitting with a lapel should be the front for a pocket and ideally wrap a beautiful rudder. And also on the other hand.

Side seam assembly:

Sew the beveled edge of the lining to the beveled edge of the front so that the trim of the finish remains free, not sewn. We sew the lining and the back along the outer edge, forming a pocket, and sew shorts along the side seam. Now the fold of the pocket near the belt is noticeable - a part of this fold is simply sewn up, the one that forms the pocket.

Belt:we dress the loops on the circular needles, dismiss the auxiliary thread and begin to knit the belt.

Important: if your shorts are shallow or you have a slight difference between the waist and hips, then just start to knit the elastic. After knitting to the desired height of the elastic band, we knit one row with the front, so that the purl pulls are from the front side of the belt and we knit as many more. This face series will break the pattern and form the edge. Without tightening, as much as possible freely close the loop and sew to the wrong side. If you have high shorts or a big difference between the waist and hips, then we do a little fit - evenly reduce the loops in the first row and continue to knit, as described above.

Sew a gusset and step seams.
