Laying tiles on infrared floors
Laying ceramic tiles on the infrared warm film floor at first glance seems to be quite a difficult job. In fact, if the master has the proper qualifications and knows exactly the whole process from A to Z, the result will be positive. There are several methods of laying tiles on film floors. After all the installation for the connection of the heating film is performed and the system is tested, the tiler can start to work. 1) At the initial stage it is necessary to determine the method of work and prepare the entire working tool: tile cutter, comb, level, construction hammer, bucket, building mixer, trowel, bulgarian, pencil or marker.
2) The first option. Film floors are evenly tightened with heat-resistant glue or a self-leveling mixture (provided that it can withstand the heating temperature to 50-60 degrees) with a thickness of 8-10 mm.Only after complete drying can you proceed to further work on the laying of ceramic tiles. But there is one drawback, in the case of an initially uneven base there will be a very large consumption of material. Therefore, when choosing this method, it is required to maximally align the coupler before installing the film floor.
3) The second option. A heat-resistant tile adhesive (diluted to a thick creamy mass) is applied to the heating film with a comb for 7-8 mm, which is covered from above with the thinnest sheets of moisture-resistant gypsum board, it usually goes green. It is important that there was no air layer, otherwise the plasterboard sheet can subsequently move away from the base. At the same time, one should not forget as much as possible, work with the level. After the complete drying, depending on the temperature in the room, on average 1-3 days the entire surface of the gypsum board is treated with concrete contact. This will eliminate the departure of the tile from the base. And only after that begins work with the tile. There are no further features.
4) Third wa Ianthe.Tiles are placed immediately on the film floors, but the thickness of the tile adhesive is applied maximum. Tile glue with a thick layer using a comb of at least 10-12 mm is applied to the infrared film, pre-prepared according to all standards (substrate, film floors, waterproofing film, serpyanka mesh). Then the same comb is applied to the glue on the ceramic tile, which is applied to the base and tapped with a construction hammer in order to remove the air and all excess glue. Be sure everything is adjusted to the level. After finishing work, you cannot walk on the finished surface for at least 3-5 days depending on the temperature.
Regardless of the choice of the method of work, it is worth remembering a number of important points: heat resistant glue, ideally based on epoxy resin. The glue must withstand a temperature of about 50-60 degrees; - it is better to abandon porcelain stoneware, giving preference to classical ceramic tiles, which are the best conductor of heat; - should work carefully at the initial stage so as not to interrupt the connecting wires, otherwise the system fails; - the tile is placed strictly under the comb, to the maximum, eliminating the formation of any air interlayers; - the heated floors are turned on only after the tile glue has completely dried at least 28 days later and more, depending on the room temperature and layer thickness.
