Will It Blend? iPhone X
People Are Now Using iPhones to Blend Their Makeup
From hardboiled eggs to bra inserts, people will try just about anything to achieve a flawless makeup application. But when it comes to actually prepping makeupbeforeit goes on the skin, makeup artists have mostly kept things simple — until now.
As reported byTeen Vogue, a few makeup artists on Instagram have started using the back of their iPhones instead of a palette to mix up their own custom foundations. That's right: Rather than mixing multiple products on, say, the back of their hands, or on literally anything else that isn't covered in germs, some people are claiming that using the back of a phone is far more effective.
One of the first people to try out the technique was 15-year-old Jake Warden, but he's not alone: Kiki of @spottedstyleblog is also totally on board. (The latter has clarified she cleaned her phone prior to trying the "hack" out, which I'd highly recommend if you're thinking of trying this at home.)
It's worth noting that using the back of your hand or an actual palette to blend your makeup is probably just as effective and way more sanitary — but to each their own. Just make sure you give the back of your phone a thorough wipe down before and after.
