Royal dessert: the gorgeous cake "Queen of Sheba"

A dessert with such an interesting name is distinguished at the same time by the refinement of taste, without excessive cloying, and by a rather simple recipe. First of all, lovers of dark chocolate will like the cake, because it is the basis of the dish. Despite the bright and rich taste, this delicacy is quite easy for the cake.

For the recipe you will need:

  • 4 eggs;
  • 160 grams of sugar;
  • 180 grams of dark chocolate (72% cocoa or more);
  • 180 grams of butter;
  • 2 tablespoons of rum;
  • 75 grams of almond flour;
  • 35 grams of wheat flour or cocoa;
  • a pinch of salt

Glaze:

  • 180 grams of dark chocolate;
  • 125 grams of cream;
  • a tablespoon of rum

Melt butter and chocolate in a water bath. Carefully separate the whites from the yolks. Enter sugar into the yolk mass and grind until they turn white. Slowly add chocolate and butter to the yolks, then add rum, almond and wheat flour. If you want dessert to be easier, use cocoa instead of flour. Almond flour can be obtained, the tar dry almonds in a coffee grinder.

Whisk the squirrels, adding to them 1/3 tablespoon of sugar, the mass should be airy. After that, enter the protein mass in a mixture of chocolate and yolks. Baking cake should be at a temperature of 175-180 degrees for about half an hour. Check the readiness by piercing the biscuit with a toothpick or wooden stick. Toothpick should not be dry, the cake should not be baked until the end.

After the cake is ready, it should be cooled at room temperature and then sent to the refrigerator for a few hours in the form of baking. If after cooling the cake has failed a little, turn it upside down while serving.

For the glaze, melt the chocolate and mix with the cream. Add rum and mix well. Spread the icing on the cake after it has cooled completely. Serve this cake with ice cream or berries. Best suited canned cherries, raspberries or strawberries.
